Apple Cider Vinegar:
Apple cider vinegar is used to treat various skin conditions including itching, thanks to its powerful antiseptic, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal remedy that soothes itching caused by dry skin.
Let’s see how to use ACV for itching.
Put 7-10 drops of ACV on a cotton ball and press it against the affected part of the area. Leave it for 30 minutes and then rinse it off with lukewarm water. Alternatively, you can add 2 to 3 cups of apple cider vinegar to lukewarm bath water. Soak in this water for about half an hour. Pat dry your skin and use a light moisturizer. Repeat this process daily.
Lemon is useful for the itchy skin as it contains citric and acetic acids. All you need to take the two lemon slices. Extract the juice and apply it directly over the itchy skin using a cotton ball. Wait till it dries off naturally. Then, wash the area with lukewarm water. Repeat the process until you see improvement. However, avoid using lemon on your sensitive skin.
Baking soda contains anti-inflammatory properties and neutralizers. This is why it is efficient home remedy for itching. Add one cup of baking soda to your bath tub filled with cool water. Stir it well and soak the affected part of the body for half an hour. Or you can make the paste by adding one tbsp. of water to 3 tbsp. of baking soda. Apply this paste on affected parts and leave it for 10 minutes.
Aloe vera not only eases your skin itching, but also heals skin rashes. All you need to extract the gel from the leaf of aloe vera. Apply it directly over the affected part of the skin.
Coconut oil provides relief from the itching occurring from all skin conditions. Just dab a little amount of the oil on the affected parts and massage gently with fingertips. Besides easing the itching, it will hydrate your skin. You can massage your skin with coconut oil every day before taking bath.
